Renters Qualifications

To rent a car from Aegean Atsalis, the renter must:

Be over 23* years of age and have a valid driving license issued at least one year ago for all other car groups.

Have a valid Greek, European (for E.U. countries) or International (for countries that don't belong to E.U.) driving license.

Have a personal credit card.

* The renters aged between 21-22 will be subject to Young Drivers Surcharge.

Vehicle Collection

When collecting the vehicle all renters need to bring:

A valid driving license.

A personal credit card. If the renter does not hold a credit card, he can only rent a car from the following groups: A, B, C, D provided he has taken the Collision Damage Waiver insurance (C.D.W.) and pre-paid the whole rental value as well as the minimum guarantee deposit of 600,00€(for the categories A, B, C) and 800€ (for the categories D, G, R).

On the return of the vehicle the fuel must be on the same level as on the rental agreement.Οtherwise, the lessee is charged for the consumed fuel and the refuelling (7 to 10 euros). This charge depends on the current price of gas.

When collecting the vehicle, the renter will be given a Rental Agreement, which has to check and sign. The Rental Agreement will show all services and insurances provided as well as any extra services/insurances that the renter chose with their relevant charges.

It is very important that the renter checks and reports any means of damages on the vehicle in order to avoid any charges regarding damages caused by a previous renter. The renter has to sign at collection/delivery a form for damages on the vehicle.

Collection - Delivery

Free of charge to all Aegean Atsalis stations (from 08.00 to 21.00) in town or airport.

Out of town: as per our agreement.

Delivery/Collection after hours (21.00-08.00), charge 20,00€.

Insurance

All Aegean Atsalis vehicles are insured by the law (European-Greek legislation)

If the Aegean Atsalis vehicle is damaged or stolen by renter's culpability or negligence, the renter will be liable, up to the total car's commercial value at the time of accident or theft.

Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W.)
De huurder kan zijn aansprakelijkheid voor zijn wettelijke deelname aan eventuele schade aan het voertuig beperken: voor een bedrag van € 700,00 door betaling van het bedrag van € 10,00 per huurdag voor categorieën A1, B, C. voor een bedrag van € 800,00 betalen van het bedrag van € 15,00 per huurdag voor de categorieën D, D-Diesel en G-Auto. Voor een bedrag van € 1000 door betaling van het bedrag van € 20,00 per huurdag voor de categorie G-Auto Premium. ten bedrage van € 1.500,- bij betaling van het bedrag van € 20,- per huurdag voor categorieën KJ en F. Er wordt geen verzekeringsdekking verleend indien de bestuurder onder invloed is van alcohol of andere stoffen die het zenuwstelsel aantasten. Geen van bovenstaande verzekeringen dekt schade veroorzaakt na het overtreden van de verkeersregels.
Full Damage Waiver (F.D.W.)

The renter may waive the above deductible amount reliability of 600,00€ or 800,00€ or 1.500,00€ by paying in addition the daily amount of 7,00€ for car groups A1, B, the amount of 10,00€ for car groups C, D, R, KJ, 15,00€ for car group K and 25€ for car group X

Note: None of the above insurances cover damages to tires, mirrors, and car parts underneath the vehicle and in the cabin.

None of the above insurances cover damages caused by infringement of the traffic law!

Theft Protection (Τ.P.)
If the renter accepts (and signs) the relative contract terms, he disposes of the responsibility for the theft of the car by paying the additional daily charge of: 6,00€ for car groups A1, B, C 8,00€ for car groups D, R, KJ, G. 15,00€ for car group K. Note: Theft Protection (T.P.) is not valid in case of driver's negligence (P.e open vehicle and keys on the car etc).
Personal Accident Insurance (P.A.I.)
This insurance, optionally available for only 5,00€ per day, covers the driver for death, total or partial disability up to 10.000,00€.
Minimum rental
One day. After the 24th rental hour, an additional cost will be charged after an agreement and if the extension of the rental is possible.
Airport Service Charge (A.S.C.)
Airport: 6%
Additional Driver (A.D.)
Extra charge for each additional driver: 3,00 € per day
Incident Administration Fee
In case of an accident due to the renter's liability, renter has the obligation to pay a non-refundable fee of 200,00€ in order to cover administration expenses.
Administration Fee for fines
The renter is liable for the payment of all traffic fines that may occur during the car rental. In case the renter does not pay the fine(s) and Aegean Atsalis intervenes to the procedure, there will be an Administration Fee for the fine of 20,00€ additional to the fine's cost.
Loss or damage of key
In case of loss or damage of car key during the rental, the renter is liable for following charges:60,00-200,00 (It depends on the manufacturer).
